Daphne Martin is a visionary leader with accomplishments in government, business, and education as well as a business owner. She is the owner and operator of WOW The Crowd Promotions, an advertising specialty / promotional /swag products company. She is the marketing partner to her clients -- helping them increase brand awareness and usage. She began her business in October 2012 as EnVue Promotions, but changed the name in 2013.
She was born and raised in Chicago, IL and relocated to Texas with GTE Directories where she worked for 27 WOWderful years through three name changes in various positions of increased responsibilities. It was the best company to work for with all the bells and whistles that prepared her for entrepreneurship. Over the years, she gained experience in marketing communications and research, sales, customer service, distribution and finance. What a blessing! But, when she was laid off in 2008, she was faced with a dilemma -- what's next? Her plan was to retire from the company after her children finished college.
What will she do? Where will she work? After soul searching and asking herself questions about her skills and interest, she decided she would work for herself. She realized that each position she had held, each had built on skills that she could use to launch her businesses: DHD Consulting - a virtual assistant company in 2008 and WOW The Crowd Promotions - a promotional / swag products company in 2012. In one of her jobs, she was responsible for selecting and ordering promotional products. Therefore, it was a perfect opportunity to continue doing what she loved doing. But, God had bigger and better plans.
She has 25 years of brand marketing experience and has been in the promotional products industry since 2012. She understands the importance of using your brand and promoting it to your target audience. Her vision is to grow the business and be the premier supplier of promotional / swag items for her clients. She wants to employ others, give back to her community and positively impact brands of the world.
